We’ve started celebrating a little sooner this year over at ilovedrumnbass.com, and our first gift is a small flash player, embedded on the website.

What’s the big deal? On popular demand, we had to do something for all you slackers out there, prisoners of corporate office firewalls, unable to listen to ilovedrumnbass radio at work!
From now on, all your daily ear-love will be streaming out over port 80 and, What’s more, rumours are that a 3G adapted stream is in the making… Thanks a million father Dinde!

We knew our friends at dnbradio.com love our ears and our ears love them. Not content simply to increase the number of slots every now and then and to have awesome DJs playing excellent tunes for all kinds of tastes all day, this time they decided to increase the radio stream quality to 192 kbps.

Let’s hope their beloved DJs will follow up with the new bitrate so that we can also enjoy their sets even more.

No announcement was made about it on their forums yet but they told everyone via the topic of their official IRC channel.

Relay #1 and Relay #2 on the right panel are provided by ilovedrumnbass.com and still showing how many listeners are connected through our servers.

This summer, we modified and added new features to our infrastructure.
The main changes are:

- Done, the old relay will be active for one more week until permanent shutdown.
- relay (#1) is now in use on DNBRadio.com: (512 slots)
->; Add a new streaming audio relay (#2) that we’re providing to DNBRadio.com
- Completed, ready and should soon be in use by DNBRadio.com.
->; Updated a few sections of the Website, also tidied up the irc quotes.

As many of our visitors probably know, our friend Jason ‘Nrgetik’ Wladessa left us a week ago. The entire ilovedrumnbass crew wanted to take a minute to send out a very deep and respectful BIG UP! Wherever you may be, you will be missed, particularly by the ones that knew you well from the dnbradio community or from other common projects.

His presence and conversation was an important part of dnbradio, particularly for some of us frenchies, sometimes struggling to keep up with his sense of humour and jokes! Of course you will be able to listen and get a hold of his sets, as well as the sets that are being played in his honor, on our radio. Here is one of the mixes he worked on a lot, big thanks to Simone (catsick) for helping to choose one!

A memorial service will be held tomorrow (Monday) at the Wladessa family home, we encourage you to Donate to dnbradio in the coming days, all of the donations up till July 15th will be forwarded to Jason’s family. As you might or might not know, on the other side of the Atlantic, the funeral costs are entirely at the charge of the family, and donations are very much appreciated! Ilovedrumnbass.com is a completely free of charge community, but we would find it great if you could spare even the smallest amounts to support Nrgetik’s family in this difficult time.
